La Pennicanza:
Miniature Christmas.

Fiorello, Biggio and Maestro Cremonesi as Christmas decorations

La Pennicanza is the radio and television programme led by Fiorello with Fabrizio Biggio and Maestro Cremonesi. For the Christmas song of the same-name project, the brief called for a music video that would bring the three protagonists into a small universe of decorations and toys.

The film, about a minute long, had to combine believable animation with a playful, light tone. Faces, expressions and lip-sync, where present, were developed to keep the protagonists recognisable without turning the story into a traditional cartoon.

Production was built through concept, storyboard, generative images and videos, maintaining a believable visual quality consistent with the song’s Christmas atmosphere.

The initial phase focused on the story’s structure. A start and end frame were defined for each storyboard step, serving as references to guide individual clips and maintain narrative continuity.

The snow-covered house, village and interiors form a single, recognisable setting. Each image was developed individually, working on the protagonists’ faces and transforming them, depending on the scene, into toy characters, tree decorations and music-box figures.

Dedicated prompts controlled camera movements, actions and visual effects. The generated outputs were then selected and edited as animated transitions, creating rhythm and consistency between scenes produced separately.
